Stuart and Helen's pub
The White Crow is family-owned. Stuart and Helen Birch have looked after customers here for many years, and they now own the building too.
What they've built is a proper family pub: real ales, roaring fires, and home-cooked food made with local produce, in portions for the biggest appetites. There are special dishes for younger customers, warm decor and good service from long-serving members of staff.
They buy from local suppliers wherever they can. All the beef is top quality English beef, and the kitchen cooks the kind of dishes that suit the hearty, discerning appetites of Lancashire folk.
Weekends are special here. Bring the family down, order a drink, take a look at the menu and relax. The kitchen cooks your food fresh, so take your time.

A real community pub
The Thursday quiz supports Derian House Children's Hospice in Astley, the 12th Wigan Boys' Brigade in Hindley Green and Andy's Man Club. In 2016 alone it raised £2,700.
Stuart and Helen also support a number of local sports teams and events.
“Exceptional is the only word I can think of to describe this place, freshly cooked beautifully presented food, generous portions, this place is not part of faceless microwave special pub chain.”
